Occasionally, the Instrumental Music, Vocal Music, and Drama Departments undertake a joint effort to present a musical. On such occasions auditions are held to select students to play in a Pit orchestra. Pit Orchestra members must be proficient in sight-reading due to short time frames for preparation and a high level of musical difficulty. Participation in Pit Orchestra provides a terrific learning experience and a wonderful performance opportunity.
